The Milani Eyeshadow primer is a new addition to my makeup arsenal. I normally don’t wear eyeshadow primer. What I usually wear is long-wear cream shadows like Maybelline or Makeup Forever pencils which stay on well. And if I do powder shadows I will use makeup setting spray after (I love Skindinavia). However, after reading a few raves about the Milani Eyeshadow primer, I thought I’d give it a go (I picked up Nude 01). The result was an unexpected surprise. I used my Make Up Forever Technicolor palette together with the Milani eyeshadow primer (see photos).
What I liked best? My eyeshadow looked nicely layered and it didn’t oil up. For everyday makeup with minimal or no retouch, this is the way to go.
Pro Tip: A little bit goes a long way. Use a small amount on your finger and work upwards toward the crease but not too high up. Because of its formula, the Milani Eyeshadow Primer dries fast so I’d just use the index finger and spread it evenly like a cream.
For the price of $6.49 this is a very good primer for the eyelids.
