It officially feels like summer! Here you will find some of my personal makeup/ skincare favorites, some are recent purchases and new product releases. Summer months are all about oil control, keeping sweat at bay and if possible, less retouching of your makeup AND always sun protection.
Ahava Multivitamin Dry Oil Mandarin Cedarwood – This was a purchase I made at the Ahava store in Israel. It was not an impulse buy, it was love at first sight. I love citrus and oils, that is not a secret so for me this is the best of two worlds. A dry oil basically sinks into the skin immediately, this is perfect for those summer days when it is warm out or perhaps after a cold shower, it is invigorating and the scent is not super strong, it lingers while moisturizes and won’t leave the body feeling greasy.

Makeup Forever Aqua Matic Pencils – A new launch by MUFE, these pencils deliver waterproof high pigmented goodness, I love that it is creamer version than its predecessor Aqua Pencils and Aqua Shadows. For summer sweaty days/ nights, these pencils double as eyeliner and eyeshadow and stay on so well, you will need a good eye makeup remover to break them down. These pencils are used for body painting also, so you better believe they stay on!
Tarte Creaseless Eye Primer – A 12-hour creaseless eye primer that comes in a tube. When applied it goes on creamy and it dries out matte quickly perfect for layering your powder eyeshadows. I used this twice and went out in the day on a warm afternoon, the color in my lids did not feather or lose its pigment. Highly recommend this eye primer for oily lid types or if you are going out and won’t have time to retouch.

Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray – I’ve been using Skindinavia for a while now, I love using the finishing makeup spray for brides and red carpets, it sets the makeup perfect and it keeps it fresh minus any powder messiness. The new Skindinavia Makeup Primer Spray is an oil free formula, made for sensitive skin, eye tested and cruelty free. This spray is meant to be applied before putting your makeup on. I liked this primer lots, to apply I used a wet sponge to ensure the T-Zone (forehead and nose areas) are evenly covered for maximum oil control. This spray has summer written all over it.

NARS Contour Blush (Paloma) – This is my first NARS bronzer and contour. I love that this product is matte. If I want to add my own shimmer, I’d use MUFE Uplight under the skin or dust a little bit of my Milani Bronzer duo. In general I am not the biggest shimmer fan (for my own makeup). This is a good contour blush for medium to light skin tones, if my skin were darker I would recommend a deeper tone than Paloma, there are three shades available. The highlight side is a soft beige with no illuminating factor so again, if you want a more luminous product I suggest Benefit High Beam or YSL Touche Eclat (or Revlon Skinlights for the drugstore version).

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face and Body Stick SPF 70 – “Sunscreen on a stick”, this little gadget works well when you are on the road and forget to apply your sun care in your arms/hands/ legs. The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face and Body Stick SPF 70 is just like a deodorant stick, it glides on almost dry and doesn’t leave you greasy upon application as it absorbs into the skin fast. This is the maximum protection as it is broad spectrum UVA/ UVB, upon application there is zero shine or white color residue. I always put sunscreen on my hands and arms – if you drive, this is the answer to avoid moles, burns and sun damage.
