I love pigments! For both personal and work, I rather use pigments over regular shadow, any day. Ardency Inn has launched Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments, a collection of twelve colors in total, these offer concentrated levels of color reaching up to 78%, depending on the shade. In a pigment, you lay out one coat and there is a difference from an average eyeshadow. These shadows have density and photograph beautiful and have less of the chalky feel of regular powder shadow.
My opinion? Ardency Inn Pigments deliver velvety, soft, and supremely rich colors. On myself, I used Copper and Vintage Gold and was completely enamored. I chose these two shades as I felt they would make an amazing smokey eye AND work as well on their own or mixed with a matte. For the look I created, I used two coats of Copper on my lid and worked the Vintage Gold around the eye crease, beautiful, loved the finish! I didn’t use a base or primer either. There was little fall out, if any. With a fine pointed brush, I also added a line under my eye, just to define like an eyeliner, smudged to taste. The feel is very creamy even when you swatch them.
Ardency Inn pigments come in both matte and metallic shades. For the first time, Ardency Inn is using a unique ingredient called Manuka Honey. But what is it? Mānuka Honey is a mono floral product made in New Zealand and Australia from the nectar of the Mānuka tree. As a first in cosmetics, this was used in a color formulation offering creaminess and staying power. The formula of the pigments is paraben, sulfate and phthalate free.
Ardency Inn Pigments retail for $21 and are available now at Sephora.
