May and June are blazing through and finally, I am able to give you a super easy look of the day using just two products, Cherry Blooms Instant Fiber Brow Kit and Face Atelier Ultra Skin in shade number 6. Sometimes time is limited and you have to choose two solid products to get your face sorted for the day, and I picked these two because, I feel, LESS IS MORE.
Cherry Blooms Instant Fiber Brow Kit With Stencil arrived as a sample a few weeks ago. I’ve been playing around and like it a lot. With this kit you can gradually increase the amount of fiber building your brow look with or without a stencil. This is a semi-permanent formula that does not fade easily and will wash off with makeup remover or cleanser. One item that is indispensable when using this product is a clean mascara wand. As you apply the product (and I would use little because it is very rich in pigment), you have to brush out excess. My brows have a natural arch plus I do threading once a month to keep this shape. However, I like to fill them in as naturally as I can. I also chose a shade that was medium brown called Capuccino Brown to compliment and not give me severe dark brows. While applying the brow fibers, I would advice to not be in a rush and take your time building around the missing spots, it definitely adds nice dimension and good results (see my photo). I went very conservative and kept my handy wand to clean up excess as I drew them into my own lash line. I did not need the stencil but think it is a fabulous addition to this kit. If you love full lush brows, this is definitely a good product in your makeup bag.

Face Atelier Ultra Skin foundation is the newest addition to my artist kit and I LOVE it. Before I go on about why I like this foundation so much, I want to point out that I’ve been using FA Ultra Pro for several years. This is my go-to foundation for the most part. Because of its formula, I am able to mix it with adjustors to darken or lighten colors or add a concealer for more coverage, if needed. Face Atelier foundations allow me to custom create shades for all types of clients, not just the pretty young models I do makeup for. FA Ultra Skin is as sheer or as heavy as you want your coverage to be, you can layer it and it will get you medium – full coverage.
As you can see from my photos the coverage I did is soft/ sheer. FA Ultra Skin is silicone-based, oil, vegan and fragrance free, PETA approved. I’ve used this on a red carpet client recently, for a People en Espanol 50 Mas Bellos event when Mexican actress Anna Layevska was one of the honorees. It was so reassuring to see her photos with flash photography, video and printed on a magazine, flawless! Why is silicone so good? It tends to “grab” onto the skin better and has a thinner consistency making skin look more natural. This is my personal and professional experience speaking of course. On myself, I used #6 which is a warm/ light medium undertone, I swatched on my hand and as you can see, it was a great match for me. FA Ultra Skin does not need a primer either, it is meant to work like on its own. If you have interest to learn more, Face Atelier explains the process and ingredient selection on their website, highly recommend it.
