How does one endure a northeast winter season? Every year, I rely on my ride or die skincare to carry me through the roughest months, January and February. Today, I wanted to share some skincare tips for those of us with dry skin.
If you weren’t aware, the last two weeks have been frigid here in New Jersey, below zero winds and snowfall. While all this sounds pretty, it is rough and causes my skin to dehydrate more than the usual. In late December, I noticed that Lubriderm had a rollback deal at Walmart and picked up two bottles. I ended up with Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion for very dry skin, which is perfect for me all year.
Enjoy a warm bath I love baths! After a cold long day, I soak in the bath, relax and decompress. Immediately after my bath, I moisturize with Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion for very dry skin. This lotion has a non greasy feeling on contact and will do the hydration just perfectly. Lubriderm Advanced Therapy lotion is enriched with vitamins E & B5 and skin essential lipid. I also apply a generous amount on my heels and put socks on to bed. By morning time, my feet are soft and hydrated.
Use non foaming soap Speaking of baths and showers, this is another way to keep your skin from drying out too much, use a low sud, creamy in texture, non foaming soap. Using soap with lots of suds can leave the skin more flaky and scaly than usual. Your body lotion after your bath/ shower will help repair the skin if you have this issue. On my trip to Walmart, I also picked up a bottle of Lubriderm Daily Moisture Fragrance Free formula (for normal to dry skin). This lotion is fortified with vitamin B5 and essential moisturizers to help improve your skin’s moisture barrier.
Eat and drink smart Hydrating with water and increasing your food intake with oily/ water based foods such as avocados, oranges, spinach, salmon and a good broth will help you glow during the winter. Moisturizing with a good lotion is important as much as your diet. Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion and a good healthy diet should set you up nicely with good skin for the whole winter season.
Lubriderm definitely has options for all skin types, whether you are dry, oily or normal. There are endless options with Lubriderm at Walmart and the roll back pricing makes it even more affordable. Tell me in the comments section, how bad is the winter where you live?
