Every season, we should adjust our personal skincare routine. Why? In the winter, our skin really takes a beating especially in cold places like the midwest and northeast of the US. The change in humidity, the exposure to indoor heating, and bitter windchill actually can make skin drier and duller. But look no further, I am going to suggest some fabulous drugstore products available at Walgreens, a nice addition to your skincare arsenal.
In order to avoid more stress on the skin like redness, itchiness and or flaking, a good cleansing, makeup removal, regular exfoliation and constant hydration system needs to exist. First step in this routine is removing all my day makeup with Simple Kind To Skin Facial wipes. These wipes get rid of all waterproof makeup and are very gentle, even the most sensitive skin. Once all trace of makeup and grime is gone, I proceed to cleanse.
Secondly, it is necessary to cleanse once all the makeup is removed and Noxzema Classic Clean with eucalyptus oil is an all-time classic product perfect for the task. This cleanser will leave your skin soft and refreshed, removing dirt, oil, and makeup. Now that the skin is clean, it is time for the next step that should be done no more than 3-4x a week, a good exfoliation/ scrub using St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. Made with 100% natural exfoliates, St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub acts as a deep cleanser. I exfoliate twice a week during the winter, to avoid excess dryness.
Finally, as a last step hydration is a must. I like POND’S Dry Skin Cream. Winter skin is already dry and fragile and a good face moisturizer will help keep skin smooth and soft. POND’S Dry Skin Cream also works well on sensitive skin. I love that POND’S Dry Skin Cream looks great with or without makeup and is hypoallergenic, as well as dermatologist tested.
Here’s a great offer for you guys, Walgreens is offering an amazing BOGO deal from 1/7 to 1/13, you can Buy 1, get 1 50% off product* with card on POND’S®, St. Ives, Noxzema and Simple® brands. Also, you can get $3 off 2 savings, found in most Sunday papers deal section.
Hero brands that stand the test of time!
I wish there’s Walgreens near me.
Ponds moisturizer is such a classic! Mom’s friends always ask her to bring them back as souvenirs when she comes to visit me from Russia.
I really need to try those Simple wipes!
I need to try Pond’s cold cream. I think that my dry skin would love it.
I’m obsessed with how Noxema smells. I also have a travel size of these wipes in my makeup bag!
This winter has been brutal!! I’ve been loving Cetaphil body products, another great drugstore staple!
I’ve heard great things about Simple! kmjiuiy
My skin has been so dry lately!
My skin has taken a beating so far this cold winter. I do like those Simple wipes. My daughters and I have used them since they came out.
The Simple Cleansing Wipes are the only ones I’ve been keeping on hand.
I used Noxema when I was a kid. It worked great and I’m not surprised it’s still around and well touted!
