I am a makeup artist who blogs beauty, lifestyle and makeup. My take is like one of a beauty editor, except my opinions come from an artistry perspective, someone who shops both high end and drugstore brands. The formal makeup training I had took place at The Makeup Forever Academy in Singapore, London EST and I’ve done intensive courses at Muse UK under MUA Nicci Jackson. Since 2009, I work freelance as a makeup artist for brands as well as for commercial clients (print/ video), New York Fashion Week and brides. When I was in Singapore, I worked with some pretty outstanding creatives and magazine editors doing print work, fashion, video and editorials.
Some of my commercial clients include NYC Color, Ted Baker, John Paul Ataker, Weight Watchers, Black Rock, Namely, Sothebys Realty, Equus Jeans Brazil, Shawn Warren Jewelry, Designer Kimberly Goldson, Dylan Kronen, Club Denim Brazil, Azzaro Brazil, Actress Patricia Velasquez, Antonia Kidman, Singer Juliet Simms, Actress Jackie Forster, ANZA, Yahoo! Asia, Parkway Health, Hedonia UK, Amado Gudek jewelry, Lush 99.5 Radio Singapore, Citroen Je t’aime Singapore, KIKI Couture & Co, Les Affaires Loungewear, Bali Chic, G2000, TV presenter Georgina Chang, Soprano Ae Ree Jeong, Dr Joyce Lim, Cisco Certis, The Hour Glass Jewelry, Spring Maternity Singapore, Singapore Tourism Board.
While living in Asia my editorial work was featured regularly on the pages of magazines Simply Her, and covers of Marketing and Human Resources in Singapore. Other magazine work included Seventeen Magazine Singapore, Teenage magazine, Hyper, Expat Living Beauty, Lookbox Living, Expat Living, Go Girl Indonesia, Zao Bao Chinese News, Singapore Tatler, Mother and Baby, Her World and ANZA magazine. In 2012 I was nominated as one of Cozycot’s 100 Inspiring Women in Singapore, in commemoration of International Women’s Day. On the same year, Ifabbo chose this blog to be featured in their 20 Questions monthly “Blogger of the Month” category. In 2014, I was invited as a panelist at a Lifestyle Bloggers Conference LLBLOG in Los Angeles, where I discussed my journey as a blogger and being a makeup artist and how social media helped propel both careers.
Before moving to Asia in 2006, I worked in media, events and TV – as a public relations professional in New York/ Miami/ LA and a TV/Internet producer in Miami, most notably helping create content on a show called The Roof and No Cover (mun2 channel). In New York, I was involved attending the PR needs of clients such as Heineken, Diageo, Latin Grammys, Cover Girl and organizing product launches across the US.
Since 2013, I live in South Orange NJ with my husband and two kids.
