I am no stranger to acne and the dealings with hormonal and adult acne. My struggle with acne started when I was 15 years old. Being in high school and having the worst breakouts without any over the counter skincare, was a blow to my confidence. Also, during that time I just couldn’t find a regimen that worked for me. I ended up getting a strong set of doctor ordered medication, and this changed the course of my struggle (but I still lacked a solid skincare line to help me with acne). Fast forward a few years later, I still get the monthly breakouts! My skin is dry but this doesn’t mean I don’t break out, because I do without fail, once a month typically.
Things are much different now that I discovered Zapzyt available at Walmart. This line is one of the best acne treatments over the counter. My favorite items from the line are Zapzyt Blemish Spot Treatment and the Zapzyt Acne Treatment Gel – The original ZIT Zapper. These two products work very well with my regular skincare regimen. As I mentioned, while my skin is mostly dry, I do have breakouts once a month and usually in the same area (chin and around my lips). The Zapzyt Acne Treatment Gel helps me treat smaller areas and also helps prevent breaking out further. ZAPZYT Spot treatment gel’s main ingredient is Benzoyl peroxide which is highly effective for sensitive skin.
Having the experience I’ve had with acne both as a teen as an adult, I also feel is important to emphasize that our diet and habits contribute to breakouts. I stay away from having too much sugar, fried foods and dairy, in general these are triggers for me. And of course, your skincare habits are important, cleansing, spot treatment, exfoliating are steps we must not skip every day. This is why having a Zapzyt is such a huge help!
Lastly, both the Zapzyt Acne Cleanser Wash and Zapzyt Pore Clearing Scrub are must have’s if you like good cleansing and exfoliating products. Personally, I am a fan of the Pore and Clearing Scrub, I use this once a week in my T-zone. I use a small amount since my skin is more on the dry side and it is working very well for me so far.
